ENGLAND U19S CALL-UP FOR GEORGE BOLAM
Newcastle Red Bulls' George Bolam is in line to make his international debut on Saturday, having been named on the bench for England Under-19s.
They take on France Under-19s at Doncaster's Castle Park, with the game kicking off at 2pm.
Bolam, who turned 19 last week, can play at back row or second row, and has already made four first-team appearances for the Red Bulls in his first season as a professional.
The former Durham School pupil came through the Horden & Peterlee club, and has also shone for Billingham this season on dual-registration.
England coach Andy Titterell said: “With the Junior World Championship on the horizon, it’s a massive opportunity for individuals to stake their claim, but more importantly for us to continue to move forward together as a men’s pathway with clarity and purpose.”
